Vacancy Detail

CAD Operator

You're the person that starts to turn the idea into reality. Often the point at where the penny drops, where the client says "Ah, I get it now". If this is you, then there's a role (potentially two) up for grabs.

Joining this Printing business as a CAD Operator, you'll be highly regarded and integral to their workflow and success. You'll love the fact that you can understand a brief, from whoever that may be (Sales, Client Services, The client themselves) and develop an idea into reality.

To do this successfully, you'll have to have experience within the Print sector and ideally some knowledge within the POS space of print too. You'll be great at communication as you're at the start of the process so you will have a knock-on effect on the whole project, so communication is key in this role. Along with attention to detail, of course, a mm out and it can send the whole project tumbling.

It'll be useful if you're coming into this with a broad range of experience of substrates. The clients' requests can be pretty out there so if you've got knowledge of acrylic, wood, metal, cardboard, that will be handy too.

You'll see your work in real life as you're working with some of the biggest names and brands within the sport and retail industry. Taking pride in your craftsmanship, precision is a must on this, the client expects it.

Print and retail combined mean a pretty tight turnaround. Your customers will want the drawings, the mockups, the goods a week BEFORE they've even given you the brief. You'll be cool with this as you're not flustered by the pressure or the tight turnaround expectations.

This is a great opportunity for you to join a reputable print business as a CAD Operator. It's a lively place, a great culture and one that is going places. If you want to be part of it, get in touch.
