Vacancy Detail

Key Account Manager

The beautiful combination of growing, developing and nurturing relationships whilst also on the hunt for new business. The best of this is you'll be doing it for one of the most reputable and well-known leaders within the packaging industry.

Highly regarded by their competitors, adored by their clients and serviced by a loyal workforce, you're joining a very good place. You get the autonomy to work your way, the way that will mean you produce your best work all whilst being supported by the wider team and mentored by your boss.

This role is all about relationships. You'll be inheriting some valuable ones and expected to develop new ones. With your previous experience though, this is bread and butter. You're listening and ability to action are second to none, couple that with your packaging knowledge already, then this is a dream role for you.

Cultural fit is important, you need to know you belong and are part of the team. More so important when you are out on the road, client-facing, you need to know that the support and fit is there from the office too when needed. So you'll be confident, assured and knowledgeable but nobody likes a know it all so you can't be arrogant, that just won't cut it here. People feel valued in this place, there's great longevity, rewards and progression which means that you're more than likely going to be here for a while once you're in.

Who doesn't love progression and security?

You'll be coming into this role with bags of experience within the print or packaging industry. You'll need this to hit the ground running as you've got clients relying on you from the get-go. Client's that range in all shapes and sizes but mainly from the world of e-Commerce. So certainly future proof!

You'll be expected to review accounts and with your sales experience look to strategically grow and develop them. It'll also be good to bring in new business but I'd say the split is 70/30 in favour of growing your current customer base. The value of the current customer base is around £3m so experience around this figure would be good.

The vast majority of your customers are based across the central belt, some outside but all certainly in Scotland. The ability to drive on this one is important as you'll be out client-facing a lot of the time. So, a driving license and being comfortable with face to face selling/relationships is hugely important.

There are loads on offer for you when joining the business. SOME of the benefits include:

25 days Holiday, rising every year
Bonus Scheme (C. £10k in addition to your salary)
Electric company car OR Car Allowance
Contributory Pension Scheme
Employee Care - Mental Health Trained and Support
Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Pay
