Vacancy Detail

Business Development Manager

Stack it high and sell it cheap, this is not. This is strategic, pipeline-building capex sales at its finest.

Capital Expenditure. It's an investment that is meticulously planned and as a salesperson, you have the patience of a saint to tick along the sales pipeline, for however long it takes, trying to influence and add value but when the opportunity is there to close, you close. All of the time.

The sales process is long, your annual sales target is reflective of this. High revenue and profit but a small number of units out of the door. Properly consultative sales. To do this role and fit within the culture, you do need to have an appreciation for the sale cycle, otherwise, you could become frustrated.

Average sales sit between £2m - £5m. That isn't something that can be prospect to customer in a matter of days. It takes planning, value, strategic positioning, and dare it say it, being there at the right time... You'll love this sales cycle and with previous CAPEX sales experience, it won't be alien to you. The beauty of this, you're going to be working for one of the highest-regarded manufacturing businesses in the print and packaging industry.

There are existing customers you can pick up straight away. Something to get your teeth into but you will need to be on your prospecting and business development game too. Account growth, yes. Pipeline building, prospecting and bringing in new inquiries. You won't have to do that alone, there's been a huge investment in marketing, and with them being a leading name of print press manufacturing. There are lots of warm leads to go after from day 1.

This is a field sales role. You can be located anywhere in the UK. You'll be expected to travel. Your responsibility will be to cover the UK, Ireland, and potentially Scandinavia. That's a lot of ground to cover!

You'll be joining a reputable business. One that is the go-to name in the print and packaging industry. They manufacture printing presses that are sold into print and packaging manufacturers. Your customer base will be these types of organisations. It's handy if you've sold Printing presses in the past but it's vital you are coming from a CAPEX sales background.

Joining the business, you'll become part of an army of incredibly talented individuals that together, form an industry-leading business. Investment in their people, investment in kit, L&D and R&D and a global reach, you really are joining an elite business. With that, comes a fantastic culture. All on the same journey, striving for even greater things. Pulling together and getting stuff done. Proper commitment. Proper culture.

Their structure is flat, there are no egos. Yourself, you'll be reporting directly to the Sales Director. Who in turn reports into the MD. Without knowing either of these people, you wouldn't know of their title or stature, unless you know. It's that kind of place.

So, if you've got a track record within CAPEX sales, then this role is something you should be looking at. It's an opportunity that is new to the business and purely down to growth. Reflective of their ambitions to get to the next level. If you've got equally high ambitions, then I'd urge you to get in touch even more so!
