Customer Services Manager

This is a role for those who like to Do! Your opportunity to get your teeth sunk in from the get-go.

You'll be experienced in managing a team of Client Services / Customer Services professionals historically, you'll care about the service being delivered to you are customer base and ensure that development is there for both you, your team and the revenue of that customer base.

Coming from a team leader position, you'll understand how to motivate and get the best from your team. You'll know what good customer service looks and feels like and you'll be striving for continual improvements which will result in more revenue, greater client buy in and a high performing team culture. This will be on you to drive the team.

The services being sold are that of Print. Not your reprographics, or business stationery though, think big, engaging and visual graphics that can be seen on construction hoardings, exhibition stands, window displays, live event branding, flags and building wraps. This is exciting stuff. It's engaging and eye-catching. My client's customers are in a competitive market and need to stand out from the crowd. That's where the 30 years of being in the business comes in.

You don't have to be from this world, in fact, it won't do your chances any less if you're not from this world at all. See, the business is progressive and want to adapt. They want someone to challenge the way it's done and drive them forward too. Not saying this can't be done if you're from the industry, but sometimes, new blood and a fresh pair of eyes is needed.

There's a team of 10 in situ. So you'll be expected to be hands on when managing the team. You'll be pulled from pillar to post too as the business operate closed-loop services. All under one roof. It's easier to control and influence but you'll have to be at the top of your game to prioritise you and your teams workload.

As part of your previous roles, I'm sure it'll come as no surprise this role is rich in MI, data and you'll be a whizz at reviewing said data, and using this in monthly 1-2-1's, management meetings and of course, using the customer information to identify growth areas.

You'll be in a great business here. Genuinely, some of the nicest people on the planet. Personally, I've worked with them for almost 10 years so I know them well. There's no egos and regardless of your rank, you're expected to do and lead by example. So if you're not a 'dooer' and want an ivory tower, this is not for you.

If you've got this far, you're experienced of leading a similar sized Customer Services or Client Services team and commutable (although 5 days are not expected) around the Glasgow area, then we need to be talking. Get in touch, with or without a CV.
