This is such a unique opportunity for you, an experienced print operator to join a small, yet buzzing and dynamic print business. You'll be joining a business that is the go-to printer within its niche. They do what they do fantastically well, they have the credibility and now they want to get better, by bringing in someone like you to run the printers.
You're a team player, you have to be as it's integral you can communicate and manage a process from start to finish. Even more so in this small team of 5 people. You'll be working directly with the Branch Manager, they will keep you busy from a commercial and workflow perspective. How the work gets briefed, produced, and delivered, that's where you can truly be influential.
It'll be super handy for you and your new company if you know what you're doing when it comes to print. We are fairly open as there's huge scope for growth and not much print that isn't done in house. So you could be coming from a reprographics, large format, direct mail or commercial printers. There should be enough variety to keep you on your toes and offer you that career development.
Looking around the very impressive facility, there's so much opportunity for someone like you, an experienced printer to come in and put your own stamp on things. The kit is there, the client and customer base is there, we need you to be there to produce the goods.
Now, this is a brilliant opportunity but you need to be of the mentality of helping others. If you've been used to just clocking in, operating one piece of kit and back out the door at the end of the shift, you may well struggle to adjust to the variety. However, if you'd class yourself as a bit of a jack of all trades (print trades) and want to get involved, take accountability and be part of something that is about to take off and see serious growth in this new branch then, this is the thing for you.
As it stands, the plant list is pretty impressive. Think digital printers, large format, print finishing equipment. As I said, there's not much they can't do. So if your background is varied, it would be ideal.
Working in a small team, means that yes we want your knowledge and experience but you'll also need to fit in culturally, you could be the best printer in Birmingham but you need to be a good person with it. Culture, attitude, and behavior are difficult to get across in words but having met the business, worked with them for 12 years and seen the business in operation, I'll quickly be able to tell you what it's like and you can decide if they're your type of people.
Long and short of it is that this business is in growth mode. All positioned from delivering time and time again for many many years. They're now at a point where they need an experienced printer to come and join the team in this, the newest and latest branch. Help get them ready operationally for growth.
