Client Relationship Manager

This role is yours to make it your own. No shoes to fill, nobody's past success to live up to. This is a brand spanking new position for FESPA UK. 

A Client Relationship Manager is all about being the face and voice of your customers. Your customers are print organisations. Big organisations through to one person companies need to know that they are part of something. Inevitably, we all need support, the network and the sounding board. This is where you and the association come in. 

You'll get amongst your members, you'll get to know them, their personality, what it is they want from the association, how best you can add value and then with this information, you formulate a strategy with the Senior Management team to put on road shows, events, networking sites, to add value back into the membership. One prime example right now within the print industry is sustainability and FESPA have responded with a number of webinars, events, networking events to bring together the community. 

You'll have to be a good listener for this role. Remember the old saying of 2 ears and 1 mouth - Never more appropriate for this role. Ask the questions, listen and then act with the information. 

The association carries a great name and reputation in the industry, as such, it shouldn't be too cold of a sell when drumming up new members to the association. How you do this is down to you but network referrals, events and network are just some of the ways membership has grown over the years. 

Given the large aspect of this role will be out and about driving this value back to your captivated customers, it's imperative that you can get about the country and don't mind travelling. 

Print industry knowledge is required for this role. Purely to the fact that it's a print association, the members are printers and well, you need to be print through and through too. It'll mean you hit the ground running, add value quicker and then everyone is happy! 

This is a really exciting time to be part of the growing association. The world is back open, events and networking is back to face to face and there's no better time to be driving value and sharing success amongst your print community. 

As this is a newly created position, the role will grow and develop with you in time but here's what you can expect to be doing initially on a daily basis: 

  • Opening opportunities with new members
  • Booking and attending meetings
  • Networking and developing relationships within existing members
  • Keeping members and potential members up to date with projects and events
  • Selling tickets for events and conferences
  • Helping to run events and manage projects, both in the UK and overseas on occasion
  • Managing the company database and sending out communications
  • Using social media to create engagement from the print community
