Vacancy Expired

Estimator

Estimating is more than number crunching. Or it is in this business. They see, and expect their estimators to be commercially aware, be involved in client pitches and spotting trends in pricing, quotations and understanding commercial patterns. It would be good too if you're analytical so can review, digest and report back to the commercial and sales teams, why certain business wasn't won.

You'll be a popular person in the business as typically, clients needed quotes 2 days prior to giving you the information. In all seriousness, the ability to prioritise your workload is a must and with that, I guess, is the composure to perform under pressure.

As an Estimator already, you'll know that the role is heavily linked to data, systems and reporting so you've got to be comfortable in an analytical role. You'll love the data but you'll also want and have experience of interpreting the data and using it to your commercial advantage.

You'll be joining a family ran business. A family that have invested (and continue to do so) blood, sweat, tears and profits back into the business. The way they operate, conduct themselves is second to none. Integrity is huge for them, it's evident in the culture, the people and is certainly something they look for when adding to the headcount.

With continual investment and seizing on opportunities, this company is ever-changing, and growing. You'll want to be working for a business that wants to develop, grow and adapt. They will want the same from you too.

Knowledge of the printing industry would be extremely helpful as estimating is a technical skill so to know and understand the specs would certainly be advantageous. If you don't have this but are keen to develop your already existing estimating experience into a new industry, it's still worth applying!

Overall, this is a great opportunity for you to join a growing business with lovely humans. It's a place where you can build a career with opportunities to grow and develop. They would rather retain you and develop you within the business than you be restricted in development and need to leave. On this point, the average length of service across the 130 headcount is 10 - 12 years! Once you're in, you're in!

Get in touch for all the information and if you don't have a CV yet, don't let that stop you getting in touch.
