Estimator
Estimating is more than number crunching. Or it is in this business. They see, and expect their estimators to be commercially aware, be involved in client pitches and spot trends in pricing, and quotations and understand commercial patterns. It would be good too if you're analytical so can review, digest and report back to the commercial and sales teams, why certain business wasn't won.
You'll be a popular person in the business as typically, clients need quotes 2 days before giving you the information. In all seriousness, the ability to prioritise your workload is a must and with that, I guess, is the composure to perform under pressure.
As an Estimator already, you'll know that the role is heavily linked to data, systems and reporting so you've got to be comfortable in an analytical role. You'll love the data but you'll also want and have experience of interpreting the data and using it to your commercial advantage. If you know Clarity, then you're onto an absolute winner!

Knowledge of the printing/signage industry would be extremely helpful as estimating is a technical skill so to know and understand the specs would certainly be advantageous.
