Recruitment Consultant

Recruitment is tough, no doubt about it but in a tough job, you want to be in an environment where you've got the autonomy to operate the way you like, the way that you know you get results. Not being hit with a stick and taking guidance from a Director who once billed £500k in 1987. In most cases, this is difficult to find. Not here...

As an experienced recruiter, you'll be given the autonomy to perform. The space to be authentic and do recruitment how you know your clients and candidates want to be dealt with. I mean, you and I both know that your clients and candidates work with you because, well, of you.

Yes, you'll have recruitment experience and an awareness of the volatility of the recruitment world but for me, I'm hiring here on attitude and behaviors. We're a small team so you could be the best recruiter in the world but if you're a bit of a wally, then we're not the place for you. I'm looking for modest, authentic, genuine, and reliable people who have integrity and don't panic when sh!t hits the fan. And when stuff goes well, you take that in your stride too. If this is you, we're going to get on just fine.

From your perspective, I'd like to think you'd look for the same traits in a boss, a business and its culture. Surround yourself with like-minded people. People who do what they say they're going to.
You want to be in an environment where it's level, secure and steady (most of the time). No mood swings, no "oh, what's wrong with you today", no silly KPI's, call monitoring, or suffocation! If you don't then this won't be the place for you.

Don't get me wrong, we have a laugh and banter but work hard without the BS.

If you join us, you'll be joining us at a great time. From a solid foundation, we are ready to grow! We've completed 2 full years of trading. We're highly regarded, if we do say so ourselves (check out our testimonials) we have solid client and candidate relationships and you'll have all the tools you'll need to find the very best talent in the Print, Packaging & Signage sector.

You'll be the second 360 recruiter in the business. Matt is the MD and very much still a recruiter. He has 14 years experience of recruiting across the Print, Packaging & Signage industry. Lyndsey who is the support of the business has 18 years of experience in similar roles and then there will be you. Right at the start of our growth phase.

This will be a new desk you'll be building. From scratch. This will take some time to build, we know this but the Print, Packaging and Signage industry is deceptively a big industry. There are lots of verticals that you can become a specialist within. This is the goal, you become THE go-to person for your vertical.

As a business, we are specialist generalists. Might sound weird but stick with me... We operate in an industry that is full of opportunity but small enough for us to be a key player. Small enough for us to know who's who and quickly tap into that market. Regardless of what our clients need! Trust me, we've had some weird and wonderful placements from Embroidery Operators, Cleaners, Account Managers, Sales Directors, General Managers and MDs to name but a few! The one thing they all have in common, they are ALL from the sector.

This said, it is a candidate short market. Which is the best way to recruit (in our opinion). You know that if you work closely with your candidates, build that relationship, and understand what they are after in their next opportunity/career move, you'll know that you'll have opportunities for them because you own your niche. You are the sector's GO-TO person!

Building a desk from scratch is hard. You'll be given the time. You'll have the autonomy but also the guidance and mentorship. You've got to want to build though! Once built, the world is your oyster and together we can put a strategy in place for how to build and develop for the next phase.

When building the desk, you'll be supported by us and we can guide you on the industry, the technicalities of it, it's nuances and quirks. The quickest and best way to learn though? Get out and visit your clients, meet your candidates, pick up the phone and learn. We can't tell you how much we're advocates of getting out into your specialist niche. It's vital.

From a recruitment perspective, there's a client, prospect and candidate database for you to delve into, you'll have access to search and advertise on Indeed, Total Jobs, Reed, CV Library and LinkedIn Premium all at your disposal and the 14 years of knowledge we've built up!

Reward-wise, there will be a base salary, and a fair commission structure (that will be ramped up to reflect that you're starting a desk).  Hybrid work, you'll have 23 days holiday from the get go (none to be used at Christmas) Early finish on a Friday. This is always being continually looked at too and as we grow, will only get better.

Our office is based in Heald Green, South Manchester. As we are a small team, we would expect you to be in the office a couple of times a week. There's parking on site, it's a relaxed environment, lovely offices and a great adult environment to work within.

Regardless of your current situation (Actively looking or not), If you have a CV or not, regardless of the sector you have worked within previously, regardless if it's perm or temp recruitment you are used to, if this has got your interest and you're interested to know more, then give us a call. Let's chat it through and we can get the ball rolling.
