Project Coordinator
You love to be organised, fingers in lots of pies and dotting the I's and crossing the T's.
As a project coordinator, you'll be the one providing critical support to not only the Project Managers but by doing so, you're supporting the much wider and bigger picture. This is a pivotal role for the business, and as such, you need to be the best in the game.
Meticulous attention to detail is a huge factor in this role. Lots of moving parts, departments and more than likely a very tight brief and the deadline for you to coordinate the project through. Communication is key as there a lot of departments (Studio, Production, Client Services, Sales, Despatch, Transport), suppliers, and customers you'll be communicating with and all whilst, remaining calm and considered in your approach and the ability to deliver a level of customer service that this company's clients are accustomed to. This shouldn't put you off, you should thrive in situations like this.
The company is at the top of its game. They've had many years to perfect their art of Printing some award-winning campaigns. When we say print, we're not talking 'boring print' we are thinking of bright, vibrant, and attention-grabbing print.
Think walking down the high street, all those window displays enticing you into the store. The background to your favorite band or musician at a summer festival, the security of construction hoarding showing you the beautiful homes that are being built. Think billboard on the tube advertising their latest products for the upcoming Black Friday and Christmas sales! It's such an exciting and varied industry to be part of.
You're going to be joining an award-winning business, a business that have been in the industry for the last 30 years and have recently joined forces with a global business with a £1bn T/O which hasn't changed the culture but accelerated and developed the offering they can give to their customers. It would be ideal if you have been assisting project managers and project coordination from within the print industry but in all honesty, it's more about you as a person, how you work, and the skills you can bring to the table. The technicalities of print, we can teach you that. You've just go to be up for a bit of development and have the right attitude.
You've got to love to be on it. All the time. The hours will fly by with how involved and busy you will be. What won't work is if you have the mentality of not wanting to get involved, not being part of it. That will not be a fit for the culture but more importantly the role. We need you to be the one that questions, drives and pushes projects along.
So, any type of Project Coordination from any type of sector is what we are after. The rest will come down to you as a person, your attitude and your ability to do the role.
